reflection at the summit…

“all journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware."

~ Martin Buber

You made it… reached the summit and are ready for a well-deserved moment to pause, rest, and reflect. Before you slip off your pack - take a couple of deep breaths and take in the beautiful scenery around you. Reach your arms out wide and soak in the sense of accomplishment you feel for no matter what the specific goal - be it personal or professional, big or small - there is always a moment like this. The moment you’ve arrived. And then you begin to hear an inner voice… “so now what?”

That’s the focus of this exercise. These reflective questions offer an opportunity to consider the journey - the winding trails, choosing one path over another, the steep inclines… the moments we feel out of breath, but continue onward toward the destination. Take some time to reflect and journal about the questions that seem most relevant to your achievement.

The set up…

Close your eyes and imagine it’s a beautiful sunny day. The temperatures are warm, but not hot. The sky is a bright blue with puffy clouds.

You’ve reached the summit of your intended destination.
