“It’s never too late to be what you might have been.”

— George Eliot

Hey there…

I love this quote from George Eliot. To me, it says never let go of your dreams, never underestimate the spirit and magic of the universe, and never, ever give up on you, for you are the catalyst to your destiny.

A little more about me…

Kate, the Coach

I transitioned into coaching after an almost twenty-five-year career. I supported organizations as strategic thought leader and change agent as they navigated the opportunities, complexities, and challenges of growth. My work included interaction with all leadership levels. I had an up-close perspective on how the realities and uncertainties of change landed on those charged with ensuring successful outcomes.

About ten years ago, I found myself in the midst of my own significant shift - letting go of the company I founded and, along with it, my career and a significant part of my identity. It was a powerful transformative journey - professionally and personally.

As I worked through the more difficult moments of my transition, one intention became clear: I wanted this next phase of my career to focus on meaningful connections with individuals searching for change, growth, or next. I wondered how I could best redirect my experiences and contribute to the advancement of others’ goals and aspirations. As I wrestled with what that might actually look like, I engaged with two coaches. They helped clarify my goals, explore options, and define steps forward. I loved the intention and structure of the work. Both encouraged me to consider coaching as a conduit to my intentions. For this, I am forever grateful.

…the Author

Writing has always been a medium where I can safely and fully explore my feelings and emotions. It’s been a safe harbor for my heart as I learned to let it open to life’s possibilities. Sometimes it’s a random string of thoughts, and other times it’s a more focused essay on my experiences. In 2010, I took my first steps in formalizing my dream to be a published author. In 2015, I published the first of two memoirs with Balboa Press (Hay House Publishing). Untethered and Becoming Kate focus on the more personal aspects of my journey. I currently have two projects in the works as I continue pursuing my dreams.

…the Mindful Optimist

I’m a lifelong learner, a curious explorer, and view the world through a lens of possibility. I balance my business acumen and more traditional education with spiritual foundations and experiences of Eastern, Western, and Indigenous philosophies and traditions. My approach blends proven concepts and methods to help individuals travel to higher levels of understanding and awareness. My goal is to bring a holistic, strengths-based approach - supporting shifts in perspectives as you explore and continue the journey toward your goals and aspirations.

…the Executive

I have career experiences as a consultant, executive, founder, and entrepreneur. I have worked with companies of all size and scale and at all life cycle stages. I’m experienced in technology, financial, and retail industries. Some of the larger brands I’ve worked with/for include: Apple, Fidelity Investments, Google, Meta, MetLife, Nielsen, Petco, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Warner-Media, and Williams-Sonoma.

I founded a software and professional services firm that helped organizations leverage emerging technologies into decision-making frameworks. Part of that work included inviting a partner and developing a first-in-industry software as a service solution to guide executives through complex decisions. After nearly fifteen years of significant, consistent growth, I coordinated various strategic opportunities and navigated a successful exit.

This or that

Beach or Mountains? Tough one… I love both for different reasons, but I grew up by the water, and the beach is my ultimate happy place. Love long morning walks in the waves and playtime with my dog, Nash, who doesn’t seem to care that I throw like a girl.

Breakfast or Dinner? The kitchen is the soul of my home - it’s where I gather and create - it’s also one of my favorite places to write! Breakfast for dinner is one of my fav’s - especially when the menu includes pancakes!!

Extrovert or Introvert? An extroverted introvert… I have an upbeat personality and positive outlook - and - I’m also quite sensitive and shy, a deep processor, and need time every day to be quiet and still.

Homebody or Traveler? I’ve lived in several places and find that home is a state of the heart. I’m content being home and tend to be a creature of habit. However, there is a pinch of gypsy in my soul, and I love the adventure of traveling and exploring.

“Where ever you go, go with your heart.”
